If I could leave a 0 star review I would. Do not get your car inspected here. Mentioned to the “boss” that I had a new battery and wasn’t sure if my car was going to pass inspection. He decided not to tell the technician (said he wasn’t paying attention to me when I asked him about my new battery) and wouldn’t you know the car failed inspection. Was told to drive my car for 50-100 miles and come back for a “discount” on my re-inspection. Came back after I had time to do the long drive and was told I had to pay 27 dollars in addition to the 37 dollars I had already paid. A simple google search will tell you that you will not have to pay again for a re-inspection (photo attached). Called the “boss” told me to take it up with the DMV. Super helpful! This guy really knows how to make and keep customers!

I can’t recommend forest auto highly enough! After visiting multiple shops and spending countless hours trying to diagnose a persistent issue with my car, they managed to figure it out and fix it in no time. The mechanics have a rare combination of deep expertise, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for what they do. Not only did they solve a problem that no one else could, but he also took the time to explain everything to me clearly and honestly. The quality of the work and the customer service were exceptional. If you need a mechanic you can truly trust, look no further! And my inspection was done in less than 10 min

I recently had the pleasure of taking my car to Forest Auto Shop in Staten Island, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. From start to finish, the service was exceptional. The staff was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, taking the time to thoroughly explain the issues with my car and the best course of action. The shop itself is clean and well-organized, giving off a sense of reliability and attention to detail. They offered a fair and transparent estimate, with no hidden fees or surprises at the end. My car was ready on time, and the repairs were done right the first time, which is always a relief. What stood out most to me was the trustworthiness of the team. It’s clear they prioritize customer satisfaction over simply making a quick buck. I’ve been to many auto shops in the past, but Forest Auto Shop stands out for its honesty and quality work. Overall, I highly recommend Forest Auto Shop for anyone in the Staten Island area in need of reliable auto repair. Whether it’s routine maintenance or more complex repairs, you can trust them to take care of your car with integrity.
